Corinne Bailey Rae On Tour

In support of her sophomore release, English singer/songwriter Corinne Bailey Rae has hit the road for a summer long tour ending sometime in August.

For this new album, Corinne “wanted it to sound sort of more raw, more heavy, more live than my first record… I wanted to do something that had more energy… wanted it to be the full range of emotions that you can feel… I wanted it to be strong but also be vulnerable at the same time… aggressive and playful.”  She also took the reins as co-producer and for the first time, wrote all the songs.

“The Sea” is an album that represents a deeper, more emotional place, a place in between hope and hopelessness.  Corinne first got back on the stage by playing small gigs in her hometown of Leeds.  Upon finishing the album, she wanted to get back out into the world.  And she did. Her North American leg is wrapping up in May and then she returns overseas to finish out the tour.
